INGREDIENTS
Semolina Pasta Foglie D'autunno
1/2 tsp salt & pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion finely diced
3-5 cloves garlic minced
2 teaspoons dried basil
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 teaspoons butter
1 can crushed tomatoes
water
For garnish:
parmesan cheese
rosemary

Steps
Step 1
Bring large pot of salted water to a boil. While water is heating up, dice onion and mince garlic.
Step 2
Add pasta to boiling water for about 8-10 minutes until tender but not mushy. Heat up skillet on medium to high heat with olive oil and add in garlic and onion once hot. Stir until onion turns translucent and add in crushed tomato, basil, red pepper flakes, butter, and salt and pepper.
Step 3
Add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet, if the sauce seems too thick you can add a bit more water slowly. Allow the sauce to simmer covered for about 10 minutes.
Step 4
Drain pasta and portion on a plate. Ladle sauce on top and finish with parmesan cheese and rosemary and enjoy!
