What to do for Valentine's Day

Here is a list of things to do this V day sure to make you swoon.

Valentine's Day is one of my favourite holidays. We celebrate love all year round but having a day for love is just the cutest thing. I love the flowers, the chocolate, the romance and of course doing things with your person.

Here are my top recommendations for what to do this Valentine's day.

The way to anyone's heart is through their stomach

Taking someone to a fancy restaurant for Valentine's is a given but if you're wanting to go above and beyond you could always call ahead and see if they could accommodate more candles or flowers petals because what girl doesn't love that.

My pick of restaurants for Valentine's day include Flores & Pine and Alloy, both are incredibly beautiful and crowd pleasers. These would beautiful for brunch or lunch.

Candlelight

Last year my partner and I went to Candlelight concerts for Valentine's Day and honestly it was everything I hoped it was. Beautiful music, ambient lighting and romantic song choices. They are doing both a Valentine's Day special featuring Romeo & Juliet at the Lantern Community Church as well as the Hangar Museum (personally I loved the community church).

Spa Day

Life's been rough, work is killing you, the kids are more rowdy than usual, all signs lead to one thing. Spa day. Honestly what could be better for your relationship than a safe, calming environment that allows you both to relax.

I have been to both the RNR wellness Spa at the Fairmont and at Hotel le Germain and both were stunning. Highly recommend checking them out.

City Lights

So we talked about restaurants already but now we are talking about the late night romantic dinner vibe. Two gorgeous restaurants to check out if you haven't already are Major Tom or Sky 360.

Afternoon Tea

If you have a girly girl in your life or you know for sure she's watched Bridgerton I would recommend taking her afternoon tea at the Fairmont. If you're wondering why so many suggestions take place at the Fairmont then you really need to check this one out to see why so many people love the Fairmont for their special events.

If those ideas aren't bougie enough...

My last recommendation and one that I am hoping to try is hiring a private chef for a Valentine's dinner. If you are wanting to try new cuisine, watch a pro cook or your partner hates cooking this one is a really special idea to surprise them with. This company does many different packages and the basic starts at $198 for two people. Definitely an experience to try at least one.

You can also customize the type of food to your liking which you cannot do at most restaurants. From food restrictions or the type of cuisine. There's an option for everyone.

Happy Valentine's Y'all!

Love,

Simran
