Good food and good company is what makes Thanksgiving one of my favourite holidays.
Here are 4 ways to make this the most memorable Thanksgiving yet.
Food, food, and more food!
Whether you are cooking all the Thanksgiving food yourself or doing a potluck , food is literally the central idea around Thanksgiving. To make things easier for myself I curate a menu of traditional Thanksgiving food and I let my friends pick the items they would like to bring. So essentially it's a potluck but because I pick the food options out ahead of time we don't end up with just ten different store bought desserts.
Games galore
No party is complete without some form of entertainment, so every year I think of different dinner party games that keep everyone entertained and present. Thanksgiving conversations always revolve around feelings of gratitude and positivity and that's what I center my favourite games around. You can't sit with us
Place cards. That's all. You need them.
Just kidding I will definitely elaborate on why this is so crucial and why I can't host a sit down party without name cards. As someone that feng shui's the heck out of her home and believes in the property of changing energy in a room based on how things are placed, place cards make a lot of sense. I sit people next to another depending on how much I think they have in common or if I think certain people that know one another already, sit together and stay in their own world. This way the conversation keeps flowing and the energy stays high.

Playlist problems
Music is what helps create the mood for the entire evening. It's easy to overlook because nowadays we just connect our speakers with bluetooth and hit shuffle. I don't personally like this method because if you're having Thanksgiving with grandma this year you probably don't want WAP to start playing.
I love creating a playlist for every holiday event I throw and Friendsgiving is no different. I pick cozy autumnal songs like Autumn Leaves by Ed Sheeran or Harvest Moon by Neil Young. Stay tuned for next week's blog for more Fall content :)
