I hope your January started off with a bang and is only getting better from here!

Here is everything I was loving in the doom and gloom of cold January.

1. Healing Through Words

I received this wonderful journal for Christmas from a friend and it has been put to amazing use. I love all things self help and at the same time I am quite lazy. This takes the work out of a lot of journal prompts and helps you look at your trauma and life experiences in a new light. It also helps me continue writing which is another plus.

2. The Courage To Be Disliked

This entire book series is amazing, Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga are amazing at taking spiritual concepts and applying them to real life. I feel like this is truly a guide to life and how to navigate our complex situations while bettering ourselves. If there's only one book you read this year. Let it be this one.

3. Vivier Hydroquinone

I know everyone has been wanting me to make a skincare post which I am thoroughly excited about writing in the next little while, but in the meantime I would like to introduce something that has been such a game changer for my skin.

If you have texture, or any kind of hyperpigmentation this is a NEED. I am naturally skeptical and I feel like 90% of products do nothing but I have been looking for a solution for hyperpigmentation on my arms due to KP for the longest time. I have tried almost everything and this is the first product I have seen make an actual difference. Whether it's pigmentation on your body or your face, this is phenomenal.

4. Grande Lash Serum

I am currently on a hiatus from getting my nails and lashes done just to allow them to heal and grow (which I think we should all be doing every couple of months). I wanted to experiment with things that would help grow my eyelashes and I have been using this for about a month now and am definitely seeing a difference.

If y'all would like I can post a before and after sometime in the future as I continue to use. Be mindful that I use the US version of this product as there is an ingredient they don't contain in the Canadian version. If you know someone heading to the US that can pick up this product at a Sephora I would highly recommend.

4. Kora Organics Cleanser

As I have mentioned previously, I am currently transitioning into a more non-toxic and clean lifestyle for health reasons and my everyday skincare is on that list. I am still new to this lifestyle but I found that I really enjoy this cleanser by Kora Organics and will be continuing to try out different products from this line.

It's feels super fresh and invigorating with an almost minty cooling feeling which I love and don't feel like I am compromising quality or texture by using something cleaner. This bottle feels really luxurious and heavy and the price point is justified by how much product you get and how little you need to use.

5. Olly Gummies

If you've read the book Atomic Habits, you might remember how the author mentions that it's easier to create habits if we enjoy doing them. I tried my hardest to be consistent with vitamins but honestly I hate the feeling of swallowing a pill. I have done it my entire life and it's just not enjoyable for me, which made me perpetually skip taking them.

These gummies however are amazing, they taste great and I think of them more as a candy than something that's going to help my health which is fantastic. They have a vitamin for sleep, beauty , stress and even a children's multivitamin. I highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for vitamins that actually taste good.

If you try any of these out please let me know how you liked them :)

Love,

Simran
